How to pay your Income-tax online?
Newsday, everything has done online than why not pay income tax online. Another way to pay tax is to go to the bank and submit an appropriate challan and after a day collects challan receipt, it's a very time-consuming process. In the online process, just fill required data, make your tax payment by card or net banking, and then download the challan receipt. it's so simple, isn't it?so let's go to the point.
Steps to follow:
- π To begin filing your income tax online Go to https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp
- πOn the next page, choose Challan No 280 from the list of challans
- Choose Other Than Companies (if you are filing as an individual).
- Fill in details of your Pan Card, Assessment Year, Address, Email ID, and Mobile No. Click Proceed.
- πOn the next page, make sure the name displayed is yours.
- Choose the self-assessment tax in the Tax Payable Option (if you are paying tax for the previous financial year on July 31) otherwise you can choose advance tax also if you want to pay advance tax.
- πIf you have a NetBanking account, choose your Bank otherwise you can choose debit or credit card options.
- Click proceed
- πYou will be taken to the Bank NetBanking login page. Login to NetBanking. or card payment screen where you have to fill in card details and fill in your income tax amount and surcharge or cess if any. Your total tax amount will automatically be calculated.
- Click pay. You will get Challan Identification Number (CIN). Save it. You will need to enter the CIN when you file your returns. You can recover the CIN from your bank for up to 90 days.
That’s it. You are done paying your taxes.
